Manchester Township, NJ – The Manchester Township Police Department is addressing a surge in complaints concerning the use of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) in the PINE LAKE PARK and ROOSEVELT CITY areas. While recognizing the long-standing tradition of ATV riding as a recreational activity in these communities, the department emphasizes the need for legal and respectful riding practices.

The array of complaints includes issues such as speeding, reckless driving, excessive muffler noise, the use of unregistered vehicles on township roads, unauthorized riding on private land, and the use of prohibited state and county property for riding.

In response to these concerns, the Manchester Township Police Department has announced plans to conduct detailed operations over the coming weeks and months. These efforts aim to strictly enforce ATV-related statutes within their jurisdiction. The department’s initiative is designed to ensure public safety and peace, addressing the negative impact of irresponsible ATV usage in the community.

Residents and ATV users are advised to adhere to all legal requirements and respect private and restricted properties.
