Series of Violent Crimes in Prince George’s County Leads to Arrest

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – Tanay Stallings-Brown, 31, from Baltimore, was arrested by the Prince George’s County Police Department following a series of violent incidents on Thursday evening.

The sequence of events began around 5:05 pm in Capitol Heights at Forest Park Drive and Ritchie Road, where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, resulting in minor injuries.

Subsequent incidents at 20 Ritchie Road involved a car striking two individuals, one of whom, a 15-year-old female, suffered life-threatening stab wounds. Other victims across different locations sustained minor injuries from vehicle strikes.

At approximately 6:35 pm, a stabbing occurred at a gas station on Annapolis Road in Lanham, leaving a male victim with critical injuries. Through investigative efforts, detectives linked these crimes and identified the suspect’s vehicle, a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu. With assistance from the Baltimore Police Department, Stallings-Brown was apprehended in Baltimore at around 10:50 pm. The vehicle showed significant front-end damage.

Charged with multiple offenses, including attempted first-degree murder and assault, Stallings-Brown is detained at the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. The motive remains under investigation, and it appears the victims were chosen randomly.
