Baltimore Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted for Armed Carjackings and Robberies

BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department’s Southeastern District made an arrest on January 24.

At around 2:50 p.m., officers apprehended 28-year-old Tyree Ackwood.

Ackwood, already wanted on two open warrants for carjackings in Baltimore County, is also suspected in several commercial robberies in Southeast Baltimore.

Post-arrest, he was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with armed robbery, two counts of robbery, and other related offenses.

The case is being handled by the department’s Robbery Division.
