Middletown Township, PA – A tragic accident occurred on the morning of January 31, 2024, in Middletown Township, leading to the death of a 21-year-old male driver. Middletown Township Police were called to the scene near S. Flowers Mill Road, close to the Public Storage facility, at approximately 7:00 AM.

During their response to an unrelated incident involving a truck striking a bridge, police officers discovered a vehicle submerged in a creek off the west side of the road. Upon reaching the vehicle, a bronze-colored Nissan Altima, they found the young driver still inside. Unfortunately, he did not survive the impact of the crash.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on South Flowers Mill Road when it veered off the road. The vehicle hit a large stone near the storage facility, which caused it to vault into the creek. The specific time of the crash has not been determined yet.

The Middletown Township Police are actively investigating this incident and are seeking assistance from the public. They encourage anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact Sergeant McLeod or Officer King at (215) 750-3845.
