Police Seeking Armed and Dangerous Fugitive Wanted for Shooting

BRENTWOOD, PA – The Brentwood Police was dispatched at 9:04 am to the 100 block of Hillson Avenue, following a shooting report. They found an adult male victim with gunshot wounds.

The critically injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The Brentwood Police enlisted the help of the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit. The investigation identified 45-year-old Joseph Luman as the prime suspect.

A vehicle matching the description of the one used by Luman led to a brief pursuit by the Brentwood Police, ending at the intersection of Route 51 and Route 88. The driver, an adult female and a witness to the shooting, was detained, although Luman was not found in the vehicle.

Efforts are underway to obtain an arrest warrant for Luman. Multiple agencies are involved in the search. The public is advised not to approach Luman if spotted and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
