Do You Know Him? Newark Police Seek 29-Year-Old Fugitive Shooting Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Director, Fritz Fragé, is requesting public assistance in locating Josue Roman, 29, of Elizabeth, for questioning related to a shooting on January 25.

Roman is described as a white male, 5’11’’ tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes.

The incident occurred early in the morning, when the victim, after being approached by an unknown male in dark clothing, was shot.

Roman, who transported the victim to St. Michael’s Medical Center in a silver Kia Forte, left the scene immediately.

The Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line is open for any information regarding Roman’s whereabouts, with confidentiality and potential rewards for helpful tips.
