New York City Man Stabbed to Death in the Bronx

Bronx, NY – A tragic event unfolded early Saturday morning when a 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the Bronx, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency services. Authorities have identified the victim as Baraquiel Castelan, a resident of 437 East 154 Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:51 AM at 435 East 153 Street, situated within the 40th Precinct. Responding to a distressing 911 call reporting an assault, police officers discovered Castelan with a severe stab wound to his neck. Immediate efforts were made to save his life as he was rushed by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to New York City Health and Hospitals-Lincoln. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Castelan was pronounced dead at the hospital.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing. The investigation is actively ongoing, with law enforcement officers working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack and to bring those responsible to justice.

The local community is reeling from the loss, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
