Carteret Man Arrested for Shoplifting on South Avenue

CARTERET, NJ – Michael Andrews, a 36-year-old resident of Carteret, was arrested for shoplifting on January 18.

The incident occurred at a business establishment on the 10 block of South Avenue. Patrolman Nicolas Cook responded to the scene at approximately 6:46 PM after receiving a report of shoplifting.

Upon investigation, Officer Cook arrested Andrews following the shoplifting incident. Andrews was processed and has been scheduled to appear in Municipal Court.

The police report provides no further details on the items stolen or the value of the merchandise involved.

The Carteret Police Department continues to address shoplifting incidents and asks businesses to report such activities promptly.
