Yonkers, NY – A late-night traffic accident involving a single vehicle led to the damage of utility poles at the intersection of Cook, Mile Square, and Homewood Avenues in Yonkers. The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday, February 2.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, had managed to exit the vehicle before the arrival of emergency services. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition for evaluation. According to the Yonkers Police Department, there is no ongoing criminal investigation related to this event, as it is currently being treated as an accident.

Preliminary findings suggest that the vehicle lost control, striking between one and two utility poles, which resulted in the vehicle coming to a halt on its side. The impact caused significant damage to the poles, with wires and one of the poles falling onto the vehicle.
