Man Dead In Southeast D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was fatally shot in Southeast Washington, triggering a police investigation into the incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Responding to a call at around 2:46 p.m., officers arrived at the 1200 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast, where they discovered a man with a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 51-year-old David Coe of Southeast, D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.
