NYPD Investigating Anti-Semitic Incident on West 182nd Street

New York, NY – Authorities are actively investigating a hate crime incident after an anti-Semitic statement was discovered inside a building located at 497 West 182nd Street. The New York Police Department (NYPD) responded to reports on Monday, January 15, that at approximately 2:35 PM, an unidentified suspect had written the offensive statement on the wall of an elevator with a marker before fleeing the scene.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has taken charge of the investigation, seeking any leads that could help identify the perpetrator. The suspect is described as a female with a light complexion and a slim build. She was observed wearing a checkerboard-patterned jacket, green beanie cap, blue surgical mask, long earrings, and camouflage pants at the time of the incident.
