Baltimore Police Recover Stolen Auto, Arrest Two and Seize Handgun and Drugs

Baltimore, MD – In a significant operation on February 5, 2024, members of the Baltimore Police Department’s Metro Mobile Unit successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested two individuals in the Northeast District. The operation began at approximately 4:35 p.m. when officers, utilizing a License Plate Reader (LPR), identified the stolen auto near Poplar Grove.

With the aid of the Foxtrot helicopter unit, officers were able to track the vehicle as it moved through the Northeast District. The pursuit ended when the suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

A 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male were apprehended shortly after. During the course of the investigation, officers seized a handgun, two loaded magazines, several cell phones, and quantities of marijuana.

The suspects are facing charges related to the stolen vehicle, weapons possession, and drug offenses.
