Crash Shuts Down Route 70 in Brick During Morning Rush

Brick Township, NJ – The Brick Township Police Department cleared a crash early Tuesday morning that shut down both lanes on Route 70. As of 8:30 AM, Route 70 west between Brick Boulevard and Route 88 has been reopened to traffic. However, Route 70 East will continue to operate with only two lanes open to motorists.

Earlier, the police issued a traffic advisory urging drivers to avoid Route 70 between Brick Boulevard and Route 88 due to the accident. The crash initially resulted in the closure of both directions of Route 70, prompting officials to detour traffic around the affected area.
