Newark Public Safety Director Announces Arrests Following Two Robberies and Pursuit

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reports the arrest of three adults and four juveniles following two armed robberies and a multi-jurisdictional pursuit on Saturday.

The first incident occurred at 8 a.m. near Clifton Avenue and Treadwell Street, where a female victim was robbed at gunpoint by a group of masked Black males.

The suspects, driving a stolen gray Hyundai Sonata, committed a second robbery at Grafton and Manchester Avenues.

Newark Police initiated a pursuit after spotting the vehicle, which eventually led to the suspects abandoning the car and fleeing on foot.

The apprehension involved cooperation from the NJ State Police, Newark Police, Tewksbury Police, and Readington Police. The adults, Ian Cisse, Tyler A. Walker, and Jahaad J. Lewis, along with four juveniles, face multiple charges including robbery, conspiracy, weapon possession, and child endangerment.
