Florida man pleads guilty to charges linked to Haiti assassination plot

(Reuters) – A Florida resident is the latest person to plead guilty in a U.S. court case in Miami concerning the 2021 assassination of Haiti’s last president, Jovenel Moise, a judicial filing showed on Friday.

Frederick Joseph Bergmann Jr. specifically pleaded guilty to submitting false or misleading export information and conspiring to offenses against the United States, according to the filing.
