Police Investigate Shooting in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD – On the evening of February 9, Glen Burnie law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Hideaway Loop. Around 8:30 p.m., witnesses reported hearing what sounded like five gunshots and saw an unidentified individual, described as a black male dressed in black clothing, fleeing the scene.

Upon arriving at the location, officers conducted a thorough search and discovered nine 9mm shell casings. Despite the evidence of gunfire, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage associated with this incident. The search for the suspect, however, has so far yielded no results.

Eastern District detectives are actively investigating the shooting and encourage anyone with information to come forward. Community members with knowledge of the incident are urged to contact the authorities at 410-222-6145 or to submit tips anonymously via the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
