Philadelphia Police Confirm Man in Early Thirties Shot and Killed Thursday Night

Philadelphia, PA – A man in his early thirties has died following a shooting incident in North Philadelphia on Thursday night, according to police reports.

The shooting occurred just before 9 p.m. on the 700 block of West Erie Avenue. Police arriving at the scene discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. The man was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 9 p.m.

As of now, the Philadelphia Police Department has not recovered any weapons related to the incident, and no arrests have been made. Authorities have launched an investigation into the shooting, seeking any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrator(s).

The identity of the deceased has not been released as the investigation continues. Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
