Winter Storm Warning Issued for Boston Area

Boston, MA – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 1 AM Tuesday to 1 AM Wednesday. Heavy snow is expected, with total accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Tuesday will see snow, mainly before 3 pm, with the potential for heavy snow at times. The high will be near 35 degrees. It will be breezy, with a northeast wind of 14 to 21 mph, gusting as high as 34 mph. There is a 90% chance of precipitation, with new snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Tuesday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 23. A northwest wind of 9 to 13 mph is anticipated.

Wednesday is forecasted to be sunny, with a high near 34. It will be breezy, with a northwest wind of 9 to 14 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Travel may become difficult due to low visibility and snow-covered roads.
