Frederick Man Arrested With Gun in Gaithersburg After Police Chase

Gaithersburg, MD – Montgomery County Police have arrested a Frederick man for displaying and discharging a handgun in a Gaithersburg neighborhood.

On the evening of January 27, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District responded to reports of a shooting in the 9900 block of Ridgeline Drive. Zyree Keishon Niseir Wilson, 23, was identified as the individual seen with a handgun in the parking lot, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

After fleeing the initial scene, Wilson was pursued by officers. Following a chase, he was eventually apprehended in the 10600 block of Stedwick Road. A loaded handgun was found in Wilson’s possession during the arrest.

Further checks revealed Wilson’s prohibition from possessing firearms, along with two active arrest warrants for drug and traffic offenses from Frederick City, Maryland.
