Suspect in Deadly Stabbing of Woman Hospitalized After Self Inficted Stab Wound

Lower Makefield, PA – A 19-year-old female was fatally stabbed on Friday on Waterford Road, prompting an investigation by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Lower Makefield Township Police Department.

Lower Makefield Police responded to a call at 2:28 p.m. about a burglary in progress in the 2500 block of Waterford Road. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a male assaulting a female by tackling her to the ground and repeatedly stabbing her. The incident was identified as domestic-related.

The assailant, a 23-year-old male, attempted to flee the scene, injuring himself in the neck with the weapon. Police officers intervened, providing life-saving measures to the female victim, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The male suspect was also hospitalized but is expected to survive. Authorities announced that charges will be filed against him in due course.

Officials have assured the public that there is no further threat to the community. Additional details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
