Elderly Woman Dies in ATV Snowplowing Accident

Butler, NJ – An accident in Butler claimed the life of a 69-year-old woman while she was plowing snow with an all-terrain vehicle in her driveway.

The Butler Police Department reported that the incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the ATV struck an embankment at the rear of the property and overturned onto the woman.

Upon arrival at the Washington Street residence, police found the woman unconscious and unresponsive. Family members had initiated resuscitation efforts, which were continued by responding officers, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics.

Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the woman has not been released. The Butler Police Department was assisted by the Kinnelon Police Department and the Butler Fire Department in responding to the incident. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
