Columbus Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Stemming from Domestic Dispute

Columbus, OH – A tragic incident unfolded on February 19 when Columbus Police officers were called to a shooting at the 2800 Block of Drew Heights Pl. at approximately 1:45 PM. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jahaad Hughes unresponsive on the ground. Immediate aid was rendered until medics transported Hughes to a local hospital, where, despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at 3:03 PM.

Laquandra Williams has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting, which is believed to have arisen from a domestic dispute.
