Utica Police Investigate Shooting on Jewett Place

Utica, NY – The Utica Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred last night, just before 8:00 pm, on Jewett Place in the City of Utica.

Upon responding to the incident, authorities were notified that a 19-year-old male victim from Fayetteville, NY, had independently arrived at Wynn Hospital with a gunshot wound. The injury sustained by the victim is reported as non-life-threatening.

The suspects in this shooting are described as three black males, with one wearing a black coat and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and another dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt. The search for the suspects is ongoing.

The Utica Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this incident to contact their Major Crimes division at 315 223 3556.
