Elderly Bronx Woman Assaulted in Unprovoked Attack

Bronx, NY – An elderly woman was hit in the face in an unprovoked assault on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx.

On Monday, February 19, at approximately 11:30 AM, in front of 2880 Jerome Avenue, a 67-year-old female was attacked by an unidentified male. The assailant struck the woman in the face with his elbow and then fled the scene on foot heading northbound on Jerome Avenue. Despite the attack, the victim refused medical attention.

The police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect, described as a male last seen wearing gold glasses, a blue/black knit hat, and an orange winter coat.
