Jackson Woman Wins $1,000 and Meets Derek Jeter

Jackson, NJ – Optimum has announced the winners of its contest celebrating community leadership and positive impact, with a local resident receiving special recognition.

Last year, Optimum called upon customers and small business owners throughout its 21-state service area to share stories of their community contributions and leadership roles.

Among the 10 winners was Marie Savarese from Jackson, New Jersey.

Her prize included a trip to Miami where she had the opportunity to meet with Baseball Hall of Fame Legend Derek Jeter. In addition to this once-in-a-lifetime experience, she received a $1,000 check from Optimum, which she chose to donate to Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation, further exemplifying her commitment to making a positive difference in her community.
