Maryland Police Seeking Witnesses to Fatal Crash in Salisbury

Salisbury, MD – Maryland State Police are calling for witnesses following a tragic incident that resulted in the death of 42-year-old Briece Antwoine Joynes of Fruitland, Maryland. Joynes succumbed to his injuries at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional after being struck by a vehicle on Nanticoke Road near Willow Creek Drive in Salisbury.

The incident was first reported to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office around 3 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, by a motorist who noticed something lying on the road. Joynes was subsequently transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved was heading west on Nanticoke Road at the time of the crash. They are now seeking any witnesses or individuals who traveled in the area between midnight and 3:20 a.m. on the said date to come forward with information.
