Man Found with Severe Trauma in Yonkers Roadway Dead at Hospital

Yonkers, NY – A male victim from the Bronx was pronounced deceased following an incident in Yonkers, sparking a homicide investigation.

At just after 6:30 PM on February 23, Yonkers Police Department responded to a report of an injured male on the street in the area of Woodbine Street and Blackford Avenue. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to an area hospital, the 30-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is withheld pending family notification.

The Yonkers Police Department’s Major Case Squad, Crime Scene Unit, and Digital Forensics Unit are actively investigating the case as a homicide. Authorities assure there is no active risk to the public and have reopened all roadways. Efforts are ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident and to identify and apprehend those responsible.
