The incident, which occurred at approximately 10:10 a.m., involved several students in a dispute over a matter not related to the school, eventually drawing in more participants.
School administration, along with the School Resource Officer (SRO) and safety advocates, quickly intervened to manage the situation and maintain the safety of students and staff. Sheriff Cox emphasized the seriousness with which the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is treating the altercation, highlighting the collaboration with the school administration to ascertain the appropriate charges for those involved.
