Baltimore Police Make Arrest in Attempted Murder Investigation

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore’s Western District patrol officers have arrested 30-year-old Eric Nelson, a resident of Baltimore, in connection with an attempted murder that occurred late last year. The arrest, made on February 22, is part of ongoing efforts to address violent crime in the city.

The incident in question took place on December 20, 2023, when a 54-year-old male was shot in the 5300 block of Ready Avenue. The victim later sought treatment at a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg and was listed in stable condition. The investigation led detectives to identify Nelson as a suspect in the shooting.

Following his arrest, Nelson was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
