Investigation Underway After 20-Year-Old Shot in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Authorities were alerted to gunfire in Baltimore following a ShotSpotter notification at around 12:34 p.m. near N. Montford Ave and McElderry St. Officers arriving at the scene discovered a 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his ankle on the 600 block of N. Montford Ave.

He was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

Southeast District shooting detectives have taken over the case for further investigation. They are appealing to the public for any information about the incident and have provided the contact number 410-396-2422 for tips.
