Young Hero Recognized by Robbinsville Police for Emergency Response

ROBBINSVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ – On February 22, a remarkable act of bravery and composure was displayed by a 9-year-old girl named Zoe, who dialed 911 to seek immediate assistance for her mother facing a medical emergency.

Robbinsville Communications Officer Kathy Murr initially received Zoe’s call and was promptly forwarded to Mercer County Central Dispatch, ensuring that patrol officers and an ambulance were dispatched to their home.

Throughout the ordeal, Zoe communicated with Mercer County Central Supervising Public Safety Telecommunicator Eric Kirby, providing crucial information calmly and accurately until help arrived. In recognition of her exemplary action, Zoe, along with her mother and family, was invited to the Robbinsville Police Station. During their visit, Zoe had the opportunity to meet the dispatchers involved and tour both the 911 dispatch center and the police station.
