Group of Young Gay Men Brutally Attacked Near Greeley Square in Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK — Authorities are investigating a hate crime that occurred on Broadway near 33rd Street on Wednesday evening. Two male victims were attacked by a group of four unidentified young males.

The assailants hurled hard objects at the victims, accompanied by anti-LGBTQIA+ slurs, before physically assaulting one of the victims, a 36-year-old man, with repeated punches to the face. This resulted in significant swelling and bruising. The attackers, described as light-complexioned males in their mid-teens, subsequently fled the scene.
