Ocean City Police Respond to Mistaken Burglary Report

Ocean City, MD, USA 04-18-2021: A Ford Explorer Police vehicle belonging to Ocean City Police department is idling near the board walk. This is a K-9 unit with the trained dog inside the car.

OCEAN CITY, MD — On the evening of March 2, the Ocean City Police Department was dispatched to a residence near 12th Street and St. Louis Avenue following a burglary report. The property owner, monitoring via a surveillance system, initially believed two males had entered their unit.

Upon arrival, officers secured the perimeter and employed both on-ground and drone resources to survey the area. The subsequent search confirmed that the residence was empty, with no intruders present. Further communication with the owner revealed additional video evidence indicating the two males had not entered the property as initially thought.
