Man Fleeing Police Drives Off Boat Ramp Rescued by Cops

PANAMA CITY, FL – The Bay County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of David Anthony Snyder III following a high-speed chase that concluded with his vehicle crashing into a boat ramp. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on March 2.

Authorities attempted to stop Snyder for speeding at 64 mph in a 35 mph zone on Thomas Drive. Despite initially slowing down, Snyder then re-entered the eastbound lanes, accelerating and narrowly missing a cyclist before his vehicle met a dramatic end at the Dolphin Drive County boat ramp. The crash resulted in significant damage, including the breaking of four pilings and the vehicle flipping over.

Rescue efforts by deputies were quickly mobilized to extract Snyder from the water. Upon ensuring he was the sole occupant of the vehicle, emergency medical services transported him to a local hospital for treatment, where he currently remains.
