One Dead in Shootout in McKees Rocks

MCKEES ROCKS, PA – The Homicide Unit of the Allegheny County Police Department was called to assist in a fatal shooting incident in McKees Rocks. The incident was reported to County 9-1-1 at 5:16 pm near 3rd St and Boquet Street.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 24-year-old individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Initial evidence suggests that the assailant confronted and fired at the victim, who returned fire but was ultimately struck and killed.

The suspect has since fled the area, prompting an ongoing investigation by homicide detectives.

The Allegheny County Police Department urges anyone with information about the shooting to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Informants have the option to remain anonymous.
