Shooting in Takoma Park Leaves One Dead

TAKOMA PARK, MARYLAND — The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that transpired in the unincorporated area of Takoma Park. The department has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.

The incident, which resulted in the death of an adult male, took place in the early hours of March 3, near the 6700 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Officers discovered the victim in a stairwell of an apartment building, suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was subsequently declared dead at the scene. Authorities actively seek to ascertain a motive and identify any suspects involved.
