Homeless Man Arrested for Accosting 74-Year-Old Woman, Burglary

NEW YORK, NY – Alfred Eaddy, a 64-year-old homeless man, was arrested on March 3rd in connection with a burglary. The arrest followed an incident reported on January 31, where Eaddy allegedly followed a 74-year-old woman into her apartment near Broadway and West 142 Street and forcibly touched her.

Eaddy, who was wanted for his involvement in the burglary and forcible touching incident within the 30 Precinct, was last seen fleeing the scene on foot. The victim reported no physical injuries from the encounter. The New York City Police Department had previously sought public assistance in locating Eaddy before his arrest.
