NYPD Identifies Bronx Teen Shot and Killed on Thursday

BRONX, NY – NYPD officers responded to multiple gunshots Thursday evening in the Bronx to find a teen with a serious gunshot wound.

A 17-year-old male, identified as Laquai Dash of 443 St Ann’s Ave, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the neck at 762 Cauldwell Avenue. Emergency services transported him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.

The shooting occurred within the 40th Precinct, prompting an immediate response from officers following multiple 911 calls. No arrests have been reported, and the investigation is actively ongoing.
