HOMOSASSA, FL – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended Tyler Grimison, 31, of Homosassa, following a road rage confrontation that escalated to gunfire on March 5. The incident unfolded on U.S. Highway 19, where Grimison reportedly collided with another driver’s vehicle before discharging a firearm.

During the encounter, the victim heard a sound resembling a gunshot after Grimison’s vehicle made contact and then observed the suspect overtaking on the road’s shoulder.

Descriptions and video surveillance played pivotal roles in identifying Grimison as the assailant. An anonymous tip further led Detective Michael Kelly to Grimison, culminating in his arrest and the seizure of the firearm used in the incident.
