Investigation Underway for Shed Fire in Salisbury, Maryland

SALISBURY, MD – The Maryland State Fire Marshal announced an ongoing investigation into a shed fire that occurred on March 9, at 512 Collins Street, Salisbury, in Wicomico County. The incident, reported at 1:59 PM, involved a 10′ x 20′ shed owned by Salman Alfridi.

Fortunately, there were no injuries or deaths reported. The fire resulted in an estimated loss of $200 for the structure and $50 for the contents. Neither smoke alarms nor fire sprinklers were present or required in the shed.

The Salisbury Fire Department responded promptly, with six firefighters controlling the blaze within two minutes of their arrival. The fire was discovered by the owner, Salman Alfridi, and originated from the interior of the shed. The exact cause is currently under investigation.
