Triple Shooting in Jersey City Leaves One Dead

JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Jersey City Police Department are jointly investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.

Authorities were alerted to the incident on Jordan Avenue, between Mercer Street and Vroom Street, shortly before 6:30 a.m. Three men were transported to the Jersey City Medical Center in a private vehicle following the shooting. Christoph Terrero Marte, a 33-year-old resident of Jersey City, was pronounced dead at around 7:35 a.m. The other two victims, a 28-year-old male from Union City and a 31-year-old male from Jersey City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation by the Homicide Unit into this tragic incident is ongoing as officials work to understand the circumstances that led to the shooting and to identify those responsible.
