Virginia Beach Police Arrest Suspect in Early Morning 7-Eleven Robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — In a swift response to an armed robbery, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers apprehended 18-year-old Lucca Ferreira following an incident at a local 7-Eleven. The robbery took place in the 1600 block of General Booth Boulevard early on March 8, 2024.

Reports indicate Ferreira entered the convenience store around 2:36 a.m., wielding a firearm and threatening the clerk on duty. He then jumped over the counter, seizing several boxes of cigarettes and lighters, before fleeing the scene.

The suspect was found by VBPD officers a few blocks from the 7-Eleven and was taken into custody without any further incidents. Ferreira is now facing multiple charges, including Robbery, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Attempted Carjacking, as investigations continue into the robbery.
