Anne Arundel County Hosts Basketball Game to Combat Youth Gun Violence

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – In a spirited display of community solidarity, the Anne Arundel County Police Department squared off against the Arundel County Fire Department in a basketball game. This event was a highlight of the County’s Youth Gun Violence Prevention Weekend, designed to engage local youth and foster discussions on reducing gun violence.

The initiative aimed to heighten awareness of gun violence, encourage conversations on conflict resolution, and contribute to crime reduction efforts across Anne Arundel County. Funds raised from the game are earmarked for local organizations and charities dedicated to fighting gun violence, reinforcing the community’s commitment to this critical cause.
