Driver Who Fled Crash with Critical Injury Arrested by Police

MIDDLETOWN, PA – In the early hours, Middletown Township police were dispatched to a traffic accident on West Maple Avenue, close to Alscot Lane. The incident, involving a black Ford F150, occurred at approximately 5:14 am.

The investigation revealed that the truck was heading east on West Maple Avenue before it crossed the westbound lane, left the roadway, and collided with a telephone pole after traveling around 125 feet on the grass. A female passenger was found unconscious with head injuries and is listed in critical condition. The driver initially fled the scene but was later found nearby.
