Tension at the U.S.-Mexico border amid migrant surge

HARRISBURG, PA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the indictment of Cesar A. Reyes-Garcia, a 43-year-old Guatemalan national. He is charged with illegal reentry into the United States after a previous deportation.

Gerard M. Karam, United States Attorney, stated that Reyes-Garcia was deported from the United States on June 11, 2015, through Harlingen, Texas. The charges allege that he later reentered the country without legal permission.

Additionally, the indictment reveals that Reyes-Garcia was found in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, on January 16. This case underscores the ongoing enforcement efforts against individuals reentering the U.S. illegally after deportation.
