Roadway Reopens After Vehicle Crash Causes Closure and Power Outage

CLARKSTOWN, NY—The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the reopening of Central Highway following a temporary closure caused by a vehicle accident and subsequent fire. The incident, which resulted in minor injuries, prompted a coordinated response from the Clarkstown Police Department, New City Fire Department, and New City Emergency Medical Services.

The accident also led to a power outage in the area, with Orange & Rockland Utilities swiftly addressing the issue. As of 6:50 PM, normalcy has been restored with the roadway reopening and power fully restored. The swift action of emergency services and utility workers ensured public safety and minimal disruption.
