Deadly Shooting at Brooklyn’s Brownsville Houses

NEW YORKE, NY – Police were dispatched to 284 Sutter Avenue (Brownsville Houses) in response to a distressing 911 call reporting a male victim of a shooting. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 73 Precinct/PSA#2.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered a 37-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS promptly transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

As of now, no arrests have been made. The investigation into the shooting continues to unfold. The identity of the victim awaits confirmation, pending notification of next of kin.
