Suspect Indicted for Multiple Prince George’s County ATM Robberies

ACCOKEEK, MD – A grand jury in Prince George’s County has indicted Stefon Janey, 31, of Accokeek, in connection to a series of ATM robberies known as the “Jaws of Life” string. The indictment relates to eight robberies across the county earlier this year, involving the use of hydraulic tools to access cash within ATMs.

Janey and his accomplices targeted convenience stores on Baltimore Avenue and Martin Luther King Junior Highway, among other locations. The use of such tools in these crimes led to significant financial losses. Authorities anticipate additional charges against Janey as the investigation continues to unfold.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) is seeking further information on additional suspects involved in these robberies. A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading to further arrests and indictments. The investigation remains active.
