Arrests Made in Hill District Following Police Investigation

PITTSBURGH, PA — Detectives from the Violence Prevention Unit made two arrests in the 2500 block of Chauncey Drive shortly after 10:15 p.m. The arrests occurred during an investigation in the Hill District.

While taking a male suspect into custody for carrying a firearm, a second male attempted to distract officers by firing several shots in the air and subsequently fleeing on foot. He was captured after a brief chase.

Authorities recovered two semi-automatic pistols and a quantity of narcotics at the scene. Rama Davenport-Grant, 18, faces charges including carrying a firearm without a license, resisting arrest, and evading arrest or detention.

Sha-Ron Rue, 30, has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, tampering with evidence, and multiple counts of recklessly endangering another person. Crime Scene Unit detectives were also on-site to process the scene.
