Baltimore Stabbing Suspect Caught by Police

Baltimore, MD – On Wednesday, Baltimore Police Department investigators apprehended 43-year-old Melvin Moore in connection with a homicide that occurred in November 2022. The arrest took place on the 900 block of West Saratoga Street, leading to Moore’s subsequent charge of first-degree murder at the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he is currently held without bail.

The incident, dating back to November 16, 2022, saw Northwest District patrol officers dispatched to a residence on the 1100 block of North Ellamont Street following reports of a stabbing around 9:03 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Michael Jackson with multiple stab wounds. Jackson was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into Jackson’s death revealed that a dispute between him and Moore escalated, resulting in Moore fatally stabbing Jackson. This conclusion led to Moore’s recent arrest, bringing a significant development to the case over a year after the tragic event.
